Paving the Way
In January 2016, a group of women came together in a dark warehouse space and discussed plans to make history. This short documentary focuses on two members of Rochester’s first all-women’s cycling team, who balance training with families and full-time jobs. It discusses the personal growth and sacrifices these women have encountered as athletes, while also addressing the theme of gender inequalities within cycling.

Isle au Haut
A century ago, 200 of the 3,000 islands spread along Maine’s coast were inhabited fishing communities. Today, only 14 of the islands are inhabited year round. This project includes a series of videos that document the isolated lifestyle on Isle au Haut, one of the remaining 14 inhabited islands that has a current population of 30 year round residents.

When Our Journey Splits
Tru Art is a non-profit dance company that provides hope for the inner city youth in Rochester, N.Y. Erickah Massey, 16, uses dance as a way to help her overcome personal barriers. This video showcases her journey both in and out of the dance studio.

To tell his story I decided to create an interactive e-pub that focuses on his work from the past 11 Olympics and includes interviews with Bello and his editors, behind-the-scenes footage and an inside look at his full-takes from Rio. Hayley's Dream
In 2015, National Women’s Hockey League was founded as the first league in North America to pay its players. Chicago-native Hayley Williams jumped at the opportunity to make her dreams come true by earning a spot on the Buffalo Beauts in Buffalo, N.Y. After the first season ended, however, the Beauts didn’t sign her for the following season. She entered the Canadian Women’s Hockey League draft, an unpaid league with five teams in Canada, and signed with the Brampton Thunder.

Throwing Stones
Caitlin Maroldo started curling when she was sixteen and her grandparents brought her to the Utica Curling Club. Since ending her competitive curling career to spend more time with her family, she has transitioned to teaching youth curling. She choose to work with youth curlers because she wants to help someone succeed who loves the sport as much as she does.
