The apple doesn\u2019t fall quite too far from the tree. My dad frequently likes to remind me that I was one of the special ones, who didn\u2019t let my \u201cpredetermined\u201d future be my reason to stop trying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Love Always, Mom, is my personal reflection about coming to terms with my childhood trauma and the complexities around my relationship with my mother and her drug use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For so long I silenced myself because I felt like this thing that I dealt with didn\u2019t matter. But it does.
