Kailee Kwiecien, 6 screams in discomfort as her nurse accesses her catheter port to administer chemotherapy. “It depends on who’s accessing her if it’s a nurse she’s familiar with, she’s fine. If it’s someone new, she freaks out. You can tell in her body language how itÕs going to go before it even happens,” Catherine says.

Honorable Mention: Evan Maloney

Boris Shapiro leads Moran Mizrahi in a fast-paced swing dance during the weekly Groove Juice Swing Lindy Hop at the Historic German House in Rochester, N.Y. on Dec. 6, 2017. Boris tries to attend the weekly dance night every week, where experienced dancers and new learners of all ages are welcome. He started dancing as a young boy in Russia and said he once won a twenty-four-hour dance competition while in college there. Moran only started dancing when she came to Rochester from Israel last year to complete her postdoctoral research in Psychology. “With some people, you never know what they will dance like by looking at them. I thought I was going to faint dancing with Boris, we were going so fast,” she said.
