This portrait series showcases an encapsulation of African beauty and excellence. Béninois artist Mohammed Garba, whose work and creativity is embedded with cultural heritage and honor to his ancestors, while bringing his pieces into contemporary style.
Third Place: Travis LaCoss
This series is a group of professional wrestlers, it is part of a larger multi-media project that includes video interviews and candid photos of the wrestlers as themselves in their homes with their families. The project shows how these performers often represent one side of their personalities in the ring but are usually very different outside the ring.
