Rebecca Mryglod performs at Lovin’ Cup Idol, Tuesday, January 15th at Lovin’ Cup — Bistro and Brews in Rochester, NY. Mryglod didn’t receive and invite for round two of the competition.
Rebecca is a musician who is currently unemployed and focused on getting recognition for herself and her band Smoked Syndicate by playing at open mics at various venues in Rochester, NY.
Mryglod has been on her own since her abusive mother kicked her out of her house at the age of 15. The only source of happiness that she’s ever had has been through music. She has worked as a server for nearly 10 years to support her dream of becoming a musician.
On Sunday, February 17th, 2013 she went down to New York to audition for the Voice, a vocal competition series on NBC. Out of over four thousand contestant she made it past the first round of auditions. She goes back Thursday, 21st to see if she will make it one step closer to reaching her dreams of being a musician.
